Education

ALL CONFERENCE OFFERINGS
Expo: Enjoy learning about new products and sourcing IN PERSON again at our Expo! Visit our Schedule page to find the list of exhibitors.

Continuing Education: Design professionals, you can earn up to 9 hours of CEUs over two days:
  • All CEUs contain HSW content, thereby qualifying as CEPHs for continuing education requirements set forth by TBAE [Texas Board of Architectural Examiners] for Registered Interior Designers and Registered Architects.
  • All courses are approved by IDCEC [International Design Continuing Education Council], which means they will all be approved by ASID [American Society of Interior Designers], IDC [Interior Designers of Canada], and IIDA [International Interior Design Association].
  • Some courses are approved by AIA [American Institute of Architects], and some courses are approved by GBCI [Green Business Certification Inc.] for LEED AP and WELL AP continuing education requirements. View our Schedule page to find out which courses have which approvals.
  • Learn more about our stellar Presenters.
Great News: You can use the IDCEC Mobile App to easily record any CEUs you take in real time! Before the conference starts, be sure to...
  1. Watch this quick video tutorial about why and how to use the app.
  2. Download the app by searching "IDCEC Mobile" in either the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.
  3. Log into the app with your existing IDCEC number and password so that it's ready to scan when you arrive.

Tours for Emerging Professionals & Students: Over the two days we will offer three 90-minute tours of the Dallas Market Center Campus. Personally led by DMC VP Michael Bauer, tours are limited to 12 people each, and are designed to inform new designers what is available to them within DMC's vast complex of showrooms.

Networking Happy Hour: On Thursday starting at 5:00 PM after a productive day of learning and sourcing, our generous host sponsor Minka Group will reward us with delicious sips and bites, as well as some valuable door prizes, all while we take part in some fun networking "games," allowing us to meet some new peers and maybe just learn a few new things about people we already know!

Awards Cocktail Party: On Friday at 5:30 PM, we will celebrate the deserving recipients of the Texas Chapter Member Awards for volunteerism and the talented winners of the Celebrating Design Texas Awards, the annual design competition recognizing the finest interior design achievements within the ASID Texas Chapter. Visit our Awards page to learn more.
